The Project supports a drawing instruction by a JOCV at Nokor Krau Primary School in Siem Reap

On Friday, 3rd November 2023, Ms Harada Kayoko, JOCV (Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer), working for elementary education, visited to conduct a drawing class for three classes with 2nd and 3rd grade at Nokor Krau Primary School from 1.00PM to 4.00PM. The Smart City Project staff assisted that classroom by utilizing the projector which is leased by Epson to the smart city project.

Ms Harada guided the students on how to be aware and how to put the eye on the drawing, introducing a picture of a leaf that a student had drawn during the previous session. With the support of Ms Harada and their homeroom teachers, the children worked hard using the techniques they had just learned. They also reviewed their own drawings from the previous session while confirming the characteristics of the leaves with real ones. In each class, children's understanding was deepened by Ms Harada's easy-to-understand explanations and visual aids provided by the projector. Future classes will be held every other week for grades 2 through 5.

This project will continue to support activities in accordance with the Siem Reap Smart City Vision "By solution using technology smartly".
