Siem Reap Smart City Project was presented at the International Symposium on Life Mechatronics 2023 held at Phnom Penh

The International Symposium on Life Mechatronics 2023 was held on December 25 and 26 at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC), Phnom Penh. The main theme of the symposium is Smart Circular Agriculture for Sustainable Society, and other topics accept a wide range of themes.

It was a valuable opportunity to showcase pioneering innovations and research in the fields of life sciences and mechanical engineering.

This symposium was organized jointly by the Life Mechatronics Symposium (LMS) Committee, the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ), the Cambodian Institute of Technology, and the JICA Strengthening Engineering Education and Research for Industrial Development Project. Experts, researchers, and participants specializing in life sciences and mechanical engineering were brought together.

Innovative research in a variety of technical fields was presented at this symposium, including Khmer handwritten text recognition and structural design simulations for UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles).

From our project, the JICA expert gave a presentation on the smart city and smart waste management in Siem Reap, focusing on efforts to solve urban problems.

In addition to the presentations, the symposium provided an opportunity for networking and collaboration.
