5th Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) meeting: progress on the smart city structure and pilot projects

On 5 March 2024, the fifth meeting of the project's Joint Coordination Committee (JCC), comprising several official agencies, was held at the Siem Reap Provincial Hall. The meeting was conducted jointly with the Siem Reap Smart City Committee meeting.

The meeting was held in hybrid format and was attended by the Deputy Secretary of States from the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications on site, and the officials from the Ministry of the Interior online.

During the meeting, the project team reported on the establishment of the implementation framework for smart cities in Siem Reap, the progress of the pilot project, and matters related to publicity and capacity development, and were discussed by the JCC members.

At the end of the meeting, a meeting report was prepared and signed by representatives of JICA and the provincial administration. More activities are expected in the future to realize a smart city in Siem Reap.
