Siem Reap Smart City Consortium: 2nd General Meeting

The Siem Reap Provincial Administration established the Smart City Consortium, a platform for collaboration between the public, private, academic, and community, in July 2024 to advance smart city initiatives.

On 9th October 2024, following the kick-off meeting, the second Smart City Consortium General Meeting was held in a hybrid format, both in person and online. In addition to the 20 core member organizations actively engaged in smart city initiatives in Siem Reap, private companies and academic institutions from Siem Reap, considering future participation, were also invited as guests.

The general meeting began with opening remarks by the Deputy Governor of Siem Reap, followed by a presentation from Takamatsu City, which has a partnership agreement with Siem Reap on smart city initiatives. Takamatsu shared insights about their "Smart City Takamatsu Promotion Council," detailing its structure and ongoing projects. This provided valuable insights for the newly established Siem Reap Smart City Consortium.

Following the presentation, participants shared information about their respective organizations, and the Siem Reap Provincial Administration introduced upcoming events for consortium members. The meeting concluded with lively discussions.
