Final (7th) Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) Meeting: Project Summary and Future Prospects

The 7th and final meeting of the Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) for the Siem Reap Smart City Project, which serves to oversee the progress of the project, was held on 5th March 2025 at the Siem Reap Provincial Hall. This meeting was conducted approximately every six months in conjunction with the Siem Reap Smart City Committee, which promotes smart city initiatives in Siem Reap. This was the last JCC meeting as the project is set to conclude in April 2025.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Governor of Siem Reap Province and followed a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and virtual participation. A total of about 50 persons, including representatives from the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia, JICA Headquarters, JICA Cambodia Office, the line Ministries in Cambodia, and other key departments within Siem Reap Province, participated in the meeting.

At the meeting, the recently produced project PR video was introduced, and the JICA Expert Team and the project counterpart, the Siem Reap Provincial Administration, reported on the project's activities and achievements. The JICA experts provided recommendations on how to sustain and develop the project outcomes in the future.

A Meeting Record was signed by the Deputy Governor of Siem Reap Province and the representative of JICA Headquarters to mark the outcomes and agreements reached during the session.
