Technical Working Group (TWG) on Tourism Data Analysis to promote tourism in Siem Reap

The meeting for the Technical Working Group （TWG） on Tourism Data Analysis to promote tourism in Siem Reap was held on 28 March 2025 to share key findings from the survey “Data-Driven Insights to Strengthen Siem Reap’s Tourism Economy,” to introduce a new application developed by the Siem Reap Tourism Club (STC) and set the TWG’s future directions.

This meeting was led by the President of the STC and attended by representative from industry, government and academia (e.g. Deputy Governor of Siem Reap Province, Department of Tourism, APSARA National Authority, Smart Axiata Company Limited, the Institute of Technology of Cambodia, and the University of Southeast Asia).

The first part of the meeting featured a presentation by a consulting company on the survey results of tourism data analysis, which provided suggestions to improve tourism in Siem Reap.

This was followed by a presentation from STC on a digital platform (Siem Reap Wonder), which is now operational. The platform features relevant information on tourism products and services in Siem Reap for tourists, as well as a space for tourism operators to promote their offerings.

The meeting concluded with a discussion on how to utilize the data provided and plan future activities of the TWG. One of the key objectives of tourism in Siem Reap is “STAY ANOTHER DAY,” which aims to encourage tourists to extend their stay. Further details will be discussed among TWG members.
