The second period of the CBNS-II project begins.

The second period of the project began in September 2023. This period will be the start of full-scale activities to achieve each of the project's outputs. Two training programs in Japan are also planned in this period, which will enhance the quality of nursing human resource development in Bangladesh by deepening the trainees' understanding of Japan's approaches.

At the 6th Project Management Committee meeting on September 18, the project presented the second period of activity policy and plan, and the committee members including the Director General of the Directorate General of Nursing and Midwifery (DGNM) agreed on the activity plan. The 4th Working Group meeting is planned in October for the preparation of the capacity-building training in the colleges and hospitals to be implemented in this period. In addition, in November, the first training program in Japan is scheduled to be held with the aim of learning the approaches of the nursing in various sectors in Japan, and applying the knowledge to nursing administration and capacity building of nursing services in Bangladesh.
