During the field visit, the participants engaged in discussions and interacted with a farmers’ group supported by this technical cooperation project. The focus of the discussions was on learning about GAP strategies and gaining insights into effective marketing practices.
By fostering collaboration and information sharing among AMSs, the event’s primary objectives included creating a common understanding of ASEAN GAP and national GAPs, setting a vision, developing detailed marketing and promotion strategies as well as an action program, and laying the groundwork for the effective implementation of these strategies and program. Furthermore, these efforts will play a crucial role in managing food safety, addressing environmental concerns, ensuring worker health and safety, and improving product quality.
The AJFVC GAP team is committed to continuing its efforts to support subsequent activities for the gradual realization of this strategy and working towards formulating an action program for marketing and promotion of national GAP in harmonised with ASEAN GAP.
