Procurement of equipment

To facilitate the smooth implementation of project activities, JICA provided ICT equipment to the Department of ICT Security of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) of Cambodia. The equipment included two servers, a network switch, and five PCs.

All equipment was procured locally and delivered by February 2024. The servers and network switch were installed at MPTC's data center, which hosts the CamCERT^*1 website and email, and serves as a VPN server. The PCs are used for the daily work of the officers of the Department of ICT Security who are responsible for responding to security incidents.

^*1 CamCERT (Cambodia Computer Emergency Response Team) is Cambodia's national computer security emergency response team and provides a point of contact for dealing with computer security incidents affecting Cambodia's Internet community. CamCERT is under the umbrella of the Department of ICT Security in MPTC.
