Forth Training: Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (November 25, 2024)

The training of Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) was held for five days from 25 to 29 of November2024. This training is a commercial training in accordance with the commercial qualification of CHFI under EC-Council, an international certification examination provider for information security. This training aims to provide participants with systematic knowledge and practical skills to collect and analyze evidence recorded on digital devices and use it as legal evidence in critical cybersecurity issues such cyber-attack and cyber-incident.

The training was attended by 20 cybersecurity-related officers from government organization such as MPTC, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (General Department of Taxation), the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, and the National Bank of Cambodia, and also so-called Critical Information Infrastructure Operators such as Electricity of Cambodia, Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority (PPWSA) and so on.

In this training, the participants systematically learned the basics of digital forensics and practical digital forensics methods in diverse environments, including Windows, Linux, networks, and mobile devices. In addition, using several types of incident cases as subjects, the participants received comprehensive explanations on the collection and analysis of digital data in cyber-attacks and how to take security measures in response to various types of cyber incidents. It is expected that by acquiring the ability to collect and analyze advanced information, participants will acquire useful skills in cybersecurity and apply them in current tasks. The Project will continue to provide commercial and custom training courses based on the career development plan (CDP) developed by the project.
