Third Training: Comprehensive Cybersecurity (2nd)
The second Comprehensive Cybersecurity training was held for five days from June 24 to 28, 2024. This training is a custom training course in accordance with Security+, the entry-level certification of CompTIA, an international certification exam provider for information security. While the first session of this training, held in December 2023, was mainly for officers of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) of Cambodia. The second training was mainly attended by 19 cybersecurity-related officers from other ministries such as Ministry of Economy and Finance (General Department of Taxation and General Department of Customs and Excise), the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, and National Bank of Cambodia, and also Critical Information Infrastructure Operators (CII Operators) such as Electricity of Cambodia and Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority (PPWSA).
The training covered a wide range of information security fundamentals, including types of threats, cyber-attacks, and vulnerabilities; security technologies; secure architecture; access management; risk management; encryption and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), which is extremely useful for those involved in this field. The Project will continue to provide commercial trainings and custom trainings based on the career development plan (CDP) developed by the project.
