Pilot DM Handbook Distribution Launched to Empower Patients and Improve Care

Between June 13 and 17, 2025, a total of 430 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) handbooks were distributed at Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital, Srey Santhor, and Prey Chhor Referral Hospitals as part of a three-month pilot initiative for DM Handbook use. The handbook serves as a user-friendly tool to help patients better understand and manage their condition while supporting providers in delivering more structured care.

Project technical assistants provided orientation sessions for NCD staff from each hospital to ensure proper use and will continue on-site observation throughout the pilot. Feedback collected during this period will be used to refine the DM handbook and support more effective implementation. A review meeting will be held after the pilot to finalize the tool with input from MoH and PHD.
