Conducted Supportive Supervision on Colposcopy, Thermal Ablation, and LEEP* Procedures

The NCD Control Project, in collaboration with the Cambodia Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics (SCGO), successfully conducted a two-day supportive supervision workshop on Colposcopy, Thermal Ablation and LEEP conization procedures from 30th June to 1st July 2025 at the Training Center of Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital (PH). This supportive supervision was a follow-up to the February 2025 training workshop and intended to confirm whether the skills gained in the training were being retained. A total of 11 maternity doctors from the PH, Srey Santhor Referral hospital, and Prey Chhor Referral Hospital participated as trainees.

The workshop included written tests, model-based skill demonstrations, and hands-on sessions with actual patients. Challenges for the trainees included setup of the devices and accurately conducting each step of the procedures. Among 11 participants, 6 participants met the criteria for a certificate. A report will be submitted to H.E. Dr. Ngov Kang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health and Project Director of the NCD Control Project, who will award certificates to those who passed.
