Fundus Camera Introduced at Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital

On August 29, 2025, NCD Control Project provided a fundus camera to Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital (KC PH) to strengthen diabetic retinopathy (DR) screening services. The equipment will enable early detection and diagnosis of DR, helping reduce the risk of vision loss among patients with diabetes.

The initiative is part of efforts to establish a structured referral system between the NCD Clinic and Ophthalmology Clinic at KC PH. The agreed system includes a dedicated referral form, defined patient flow, and joint training sessions for staff. With these measures now in place, the referral process has officially begun at KC PH.

The NCD Project will continue to support the proper use of the fundus camera, strengthen collaborations between clinics, and ensure referral data are used to improve DR screening and patient follow-up.
