Laboratory training for HPV testing at Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital

From March 10th to 12th, 2026, a technical training course on HPV testing (*) was conducted at the laboratory department of Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital. In collaboration with the expert trainers from Hybribio Biotech and Medscience Analytic, the three-day program provided laboratory technicians with essential knowledge and hands-on practice on HPV DNA extraction, PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) amplification, result interpretation, and troubleshooting.

By the end of the training, participants successfully demonstrated proficiency in HPV testing. Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital is now better equipped with the technical expertise necessary to provide high-quality HPV screening.

*Under the NCD Control Project, HPV testing will be performed using Hybribio 14 High-risk HPV Real-Time PCR Kit on the existing Biorad CFX Opus 96 PCR system.
