Refresher Training on Colposcopy, Thermal Ablation, and Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP) at Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital
From 8th to 9th April 2026, the NCD Control Project, in collaboration with the Cambodia Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics (SCGO), conducted a refresher training on Colposcopy, Thermal Ablation, and LEEP at the Training Center of Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital. A total of 10 doctors and 3 midwives working in the maternity ward at the Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital, Srey Santhor Referral Hospital, and Prey Chhor Referral Hospital participated.
The training focused on reviewing key skills in colposcopic examination and management of precancerous lesions, as well as proper preparation, cleaning, and disinfection of necessary equipment. Sessions combined brief technical reviews with hands-on practice. All participants successfully passed the written and practical assessments (achieved over 75% of the total score).
This activity is a part of the preparation for the upcoming HPV screening campaign in May 2026.
