HPV Screening Practice Session at Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital

As part of the preparations for the upcoming HPV screening campaign planned in May 2026, the NCD Control Project held a practice session at Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital (PH) on 29th and 30th April 2026.

First, with technical guidance from the Ministry of Health staff and two national trainers, the implementing team of the Kampong Cham Provincial Health Department and PH (i.e., doctors, midwives, laboratory technicians) reviewed the operation manual for implementing HPV screening. The team confirmed the HPV screening flow from eligibility check, informed consent, medical interview, sampling, and post-screening counseling.

In the subsequent practice session, 17 staff members from the PH participated as clients, while the implementing team practiced the entire flow under the supervision of the national trainers. At the end of the session, the team discussed operational challenges and identified areas for improvement.
