Training of Colposcopy, Thermal Ablation, and LEEP in Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital

On 11-12th February 2025, with the presence of H.E Prof. Kruy Leang Sim, Undersecretary of State of Ministry of Health (MoH) and Dr. Va Savuth, Vice Director of Kampong Cham Provincial Health Department, a Training of Colposcopy, Thermal Ablation and LEEP was conducted at the Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital. The training was held in collaboration with the Cambodian Society of Gynecologists and Obstetricians (SCGO).
The training aimed to strengthen the technical capacity of the focal maternity doctors at the target referral hospitals to effectively diagnose and treat cervical precancerous lesions. The trainers from the SCGO, Prof. Koum Kanal and Dr. Kom Aun, and the Japanese experts provided lectures, hands-on demonstration, and practical training. A fruitful session was held with many questions and discussions. A supportive supervision will be conducted in 3 months to evaluate the skills they acquired.
