Workshop on Clinical Reference Charts, Educational Materials and Neuropathy Assessment in Kampong Cham Province

On February 20, 2025, a workshop on clinical reference charts, educational materials for diabetes patients, and neuropathy assessment was held at the Kampong Cham Provincial Health Department (PHD), with support from Dr. Yuichi Temma, a JICA Short-term Expert.

The workshop proposed and reviewed clinical reference charts for physicians, discussed educational materials for diabetes patients, and trained physicians on neuropathy assessment. A hands-on session covered the proper use of a tuning fork and reflex hammer to aid in the detection of diabetic neuropathy.

Facilitated by the Diabetes and Hypertension Technical Working Group, the event included representatives from the PHD, Provincial Hospital, eight Operational Districts, and Referral Hospitals in Kampong Cham.

The workshop identified key challenges in diabetes management and outlined next steps to strengthen Diabetes care in Kampong Cham Province.
