Managing CSIRT Seminar and OSINT Fundamental Training for Public CSIRT
In October and November 2024, we conducted the "Managing CSIRT" seminar and "OSINT Basics" training for Public CSIRT. These sessions featured Mr. Rudi Lumanto, who played a key role in establishing Indonesia's national CSIRT, "ID-SIRTII/CC" as a speaker. Mr. Rudi participated online from Indonesia.
Managing CSIRT
On October 21, 2024, a seminar on CSIRT frameworks and management methods was held for Public CSIRT staff. Public CSIRT was newly established as one of Mongolia's national CSIRTs in January 2024, and the lecture, which included insights from Indonesia's experience, provided invaluable guidance for future CSIRT management.
The seminar was attended by 22 participants from Public CSIRT and 5 participants from the Mongolian University of Science and Technology.
OSINT Fundamental Training
OSINT Fundamental Training was conducted for Public CSIRT staff from November 28 to 29, 2024. OSINT (Open-source intelligence) refers to the process of collecting and analyzing information from publicly accessible sources to gain actionable insights. Publicly available sources include websites, social media platforms, literature, government or municipal reports, and news articles.
Participants learned foundational OSINT knowledge, methodologies, various tools, and techniques for compiling collected information into reports.
The training was attended by 11 participants Public CSIRT and 3 participants from the Mongolian University of Science and Technology.
