Report on Training Activities
As part of the activities under Outputs 1 and 2 of this project, various training programs were implemented to strengthen cybersecurity human resource development in Mongolia.
CySA+ Training for University Faculty (Output 2)
In August 2025, CySA+ training, based on the CompTIA certification program, was conducted for faculty members of the Department of Cybersecurity at the School of Information and Communication Technology, Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST-SICT).
The participating instructors are expected to apply the knowledge and skills acquired through this training in their classes, thereby contributing to the enhancement of cybersecurity education quality.
With this training, all planned Train-the-Trainer (TTT) sessions have now been completed.
CyberLaw Training for Public-CSIRT Officers (Output 1)
As part of Output 1, it was agreed with the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications (MDDIC) of Mongolia to provide capacity development support for CSIRT personnel. Accordingly, a CyberLaw Training was held on September 19–20, 2025, for officers of the Public-CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team).
Since Mongolia has only recently enacted its cybersecurity and personal data protection laws, legal experts provided explanations on their practical application and shared relevant case studies.
For the Public-CSIRT officers—who play a key role in assisting and responding to cybersecurity incidents affecting private-sector organizations—this training served as a valuable opportunity to gain practical and work-related legal knowledge.
Through these training programs, the project continues to make steady progress in strengthening the foundation for cybersecurity education and professional development in Mongolia.
