News#7 Discussion on the Current Situation and Issues Regarding Operation and Maintenance of Bus Services in Maputo City (September 2023)

The second meeting of the Technical Working Group for Output 2 took place on September 13, 2023, chaired by the President of EMTPM¹. In the meeting, the project experts presented an overview of the current operational status and challenges of the bus services provided by EMTPM, a review of the practical aspects of operation and maintenance, and a preliminary report on the results of user interview surveys related to the bus services. Additionally, an introduction to the GTFS² was given, along with a proposal for its implementation in the pilot project. Furthermore, discussions were held regarding the direction of future training for the EMTPM staff.
