Activity information from Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital

The Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital (ShSMCH) is a partner hospital where the students of the College of Nursing, Sher-E Bangla Nagar receive clinical practice. The hospital is very enthusiastic about the project's activities and is vigorously coordinating with the college and conducting in-hospital activities. This month we are pleased to present the activities of the hospital by Ms. Sabikun Nahar, Senior Staff Nurse of ShSMCH, who serves as the focal person.

For better clinical practice

We started our CBNS-II Project activities on May 31st, 2022. First, we made Coordination Committee (CC) and Internal committee (IC). CC committee for both side members in hospital and College side. Monthly we hold once CC meeting and IC meeting.

In the CC meeting, we have taken different activities regarding student clinical practice, such as: how to develop student activities on the hospital side, how to maintain regulations and dress code properly, the duty rotation plan done by their logbook, and how to provide bedside care by student Nurse. We selected some Clinical Teachers (CNT) to teach continuously and practically Student Nurses. Also, we prepared daily activities sheets for Student Nurses. The overall goal is to provide better and more effective student Nurse clinical practice in our hospital.
