Project for the Improvement of Maternal and Child Health Services through Maternal and Child Health Handbooks (PROMESSA) Article published in BMJ Global Health

An article about the development and implementation of the maternal and child health (MCH) handbook in Angola has recently been published in the BMJ Global Health. It is published in the category 'Practice', which focuses on the practice process and beneficiary participation.

The article was written by seven experts and investigators engaged in the technical cooperation project 'Project for the Improvement of Maternal and Child Health Services through Maternal and Child Health Handbook (PROMESSA[1])', which was implemented from 2017 to 2022, and by officials from the Angolan Ministry of Health. The article summarizes not only the structure and content of the project implementation, but also the challenges and measures taken in its implementation. In Angola, where the systematization of information on precedents is still in its formative stages, the article contributes to academia and to help development partners in planning and managing the implementation of projects.

The paper can be downloaded from the following link. (as of 07/11/2022)
