It's exactly one year on today the 2nd of July 2011 that we left our District to Japan to acquire teaching methods and Skills in Science and Mathematics teaching to help improve performances of our Pupils in our schools.

It has been great achievements and moments in our lives and our perception and attitudes to classroom situations have changed. We say thank you to 'JICA' for making us great.

I am seeing what we have learnt in Japan through in my District. Jacob san, George san and grace san, are doing very well in their schools. Jacob and George have taken all the teachers in their schools through Child centered Lesson approaches and have been delivering their lessons using child centered approaches. Grace had also in her school has organized and introduced the lesson study concept to all the teachers her Department.

The District Directorate had also organized its information exchange seminar. During this activity, we shared our experiences with all the stake holders of the INSET Project in the District with what we have learnt whiles in Japan, and taken them through the lesson study processes.

This is what we have achieved in our district with one year on with the INSET project in the District.

For the coming year we will be going to our cluster centers with child centered lessons for the classroom teachers.

On behalf of my team I stand in to say Arigato to JICA.
