Program Title: School-based Learning Improvement and Support from Education Administration

I have learned many things from participating in this training. It has changed my entire outlook on and attitude toward life. I was first impressed by the Japanese culture, the way I was welcomed by JICA staff from Haneda airport up to the HIP, it was heartwarming. It is the same way we are welcomed by the school administrators of the schools we visited, the hospitality, love, respect and care touched me. Again, I have learned how to keep time. Here in Japan, they don't waste any seconds or minutes which describes the reason they perform their tasks perfectly. Planning is the key to achieve the goal you set, especially for teachers to delivery a good lesson it goes back to how they have planed for the lesson. About the development of Japanese science, the government introduced the western science, got professors from developed countries and Sent their students to study in the developed countries and after their studies came back and translated technical terms into Japanese, in sciences they used Germany system of education and Great Britain in languages and others. Unlike in Africa, the country choses one system of certain country and if it lacks something that is the end of the story. What I learnt is that if we could choose what is the best for our country, keep switching to what is better finally we might get what we want as a country instead of sticking to one thing but again it goes back to the context of country. I have learned that you can succeed if you work hard despite of the challenges, I have realized that it is necessary to risk failure in order to gain success. To sum up, I have gained many things within the short period I have been in Japan but I can't put down all, but it was life changing experience.
