Name: Ms. MORAI Mamotjoka Joyce
Nationality: Kingdom of Lesotho

My name is Mamotjoka Joyce Morai. I am a teacher of the deaf or hard of hearing students at St Paul's School for the Deaf in Lesotho. In March 2020, I graduated from Hiroshima University with a Master of Education, where I majored in Special Education and Inclusive Education. My research was on seeking strategies for teaching deaf or hard of hearing students English writing composition. I like being a teacher, and I aim to continue working hard and pursuing my studies to help my students improve their writing skills as well as their motivation to write.

I come from Khanyane Khokhotsaneng, which is a village found in Leribe district in Lesotho. Lesotho is a country landlocked by the Republic of South Africa. It is famous for its beautiful mountains and landscapes. Lesotho also has a rich culture, from traditional Basotho clothes to beautiful places; such as Thaba Bosiu cultural village, Mokorotlong (Basotho Hat), Kome Caves, Dinisours footprints, Katse Botanical garden and Morija museum and archives. There are also different seasons throughout the year in Lesotho, summer, autumn, winter and spring. It can be fun to leave throughout these seasons, but it can also be challenging in winter for people who live in rural areas and have limited access to electricity, food, and water.
