JAAG was established on September 30, 2007, by the group of participants of JICA training programs. The association is concentrating on activities related with Japanese economy and culture. It is proactive to strength friendly relations among its members. It is a forum to share information to each other for the mutual cooperation and implementing new projects in the field of Georgia-Japan relations and in country relations as well. JAAG counts nearly 220 members in its list from where 120 have actively maintain contact with the Association. JAAG also cooperates with the people who are interested in Japan and Japanese culture. It holds conferences, workshops, and annual meetings to discuss the interesting topics on the global or regional issues. JAAG Actively involved in Japanese cultural events organized in the country, invites lecturers and professors in the seminar regarding the discussed issues. In general JAAG is a flexible association for cooperation with Japan in different fields while the members of the association mainly are the officials of the governmental and nongovernmental organizations of the country.
