ODA Loan Project

Lahendong Geothermal Power Plant Project

Project Highlight
  1. This is the first Japanese ODA loan geothermal project in Indonesia to be implemented as an initiative to prevent climate change.
  2. The project will help balance out the difference between supply and demand for electric power currently on the Minahasa power system in North Sulawesi.
Project Summary The objective of the project is to improve the stability of power supply in the Minahasa power system, North Sulawesi, by newly constructing a geothermal power generation plant (capacity: 20 MW) in the Lahendong Geothermal Power Plant. The project is due to be completed in 2012.
