Between July 5 - 16, 2021, JICA has successfully conducted the Country Focused Training in regards to the Social Security Professional Movers (Agenalis). This program was held following the enactment of the DJSN's regulation No. 2 the Year 2020 regarding the Social Security Professional Movers (Agenalis) in Indonesia, in order to support the Indonesian Government to define Indonesian Agenalis' regulations on certification, competency standards, training, and capacity development.

Twenty-five (25) participants and Five (5) observers consisting from Ministry of National Development Planning/BAPPENAS, Ministry of Manpower, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Ministry of Finance, BPJS Health, BPJS Manpower, The National Social Security Council/DJSN, Secretary of DJSN, and National Professional Certification Agency/BNSP, have completed the program. The participants were actively engaged in the series of discussions, even though the program was conducted online.

In this program, participants learned about how Japanese Sharoushi is developed, certified, trained, and regulated. Furthermore, the participants learned about the issue of employment and protection workers issues in Japan, as well as drew lessons from Japan's experiences to strengthen the social security system in Indonesia. Through several series of discussions and work-groups, participants have finally generated common ideas and policy recommendations on how to develop the Social Security Professional Movers (Agenalis) in Indonesia based on Japan's experiences.

JICA hopes all the participants continue to play an important role as experts in this field and move forward to strengthen the social security system in Indonesia. JICA continues to commit itself to provide necessary support to our Indonesian partners for the introduction of Agenalis.
