50 single mothers received humanitarian aid from JICA Alumni Association (JAA).

Due to the current situation with COVID-19, JAA Executive board members distributed humanitarian aid (wheat flour, sugar, edible oil, disinfection means and etc.) for 50 single mothers in Bishkek. The main aim was to assist with recovering from COVID-19 consequences.

The target beneficiaries were selected from two districts of Bishkek- Lenin and Pervomay based on criteria such as single mothers who have two or more children including disabilities .

Besides being single mothers, most of the beneficiaries are unemployed and they are in a very hard livelihood conditions. JAA EB members made sure it while visiting them. According to words of beneficiaries, this aid was very helpful and they are very glad to receive it.

Ministry of Social Protection of the Kyrgyz Republic assisted in preparing the beneficiaries list. The list was developed from the existing data base of the most vulnerable and poor families.
