According to the Ministry of Health some regional hospitals including regional maternity wards still need more oxygen concentrators to be prepared for respiratory diseases.

Therefore, Mederbek Aitbaev, a board member of JICA Alumni Association (JAA, alumni of ex-participants under JICA training programs), initiated a project to provide the equipment and teach medical workers for a properly usage of it.

On 16th of March, 2021, JAA handed over 18 oxygen concentrators to the Department of Medicine Provision under the Ministry of Health for more than one million of KGS and conducted training.

The same trainings will be done in regions when they deliver the equipment.

JAA hopes that this small contribution will assist in fighting with pandemic in country.
