How doctor from Osh region of Kyrgyzstan could manage to be accepted to the Master program of the leading Japanese university

We realized again that there is nothing impossible after hearing a story about Asanbek kyzy Aiperi, a deputy of chief medical officer. Now she is a Master`s student of Tokyo Medical and Dental University, one of the top universities in "Life Science and Medicine" in Japan.

She successfully passed an English exam and several interviews, and finally got an acceptance to the Master`s Program of the university. Needless to say, her success was marked by her enormous efforts and belief in herself. She worked up required documents, developed her study plan and dedicated two hours every day in order to improve her English and could successfully pass it online.

Aiperi said in that day when the acceptance notification reached her, she felt a great happiness that was impossible to describe by words.

Studying has been started on April of this year, but due to the pandemic, Aiperi has online lectures now and will leave for Japan once the situations allow it.

Despite being in remote studying, Aiperi shared that she is delighted about the program of studying and methods of teaching. Especially since lecturers are the leading professors from all over the world, including professors from Tokyo Medical and Dentist University, Harvard University and Johns Hopkins University!

The main advice that Aiperi would like to give is: "To be brave and believe at yourself!". Aiperi hopes that her story can motivate other medical workers of Kyrgyzstan to learn about Japanese experience and to contribute to the health development of Kyrgyzstan.

From the last year, JICA launched a program for Government officials or prospective academics for studying in Master`s program in Japan for the topic: "Universal health coverage".

It is expected that program participants will contribute to the health development of Kyrgyzstan.
