On December 17, 2022, the opening ceremony of the Winter tourist season 2022-2023 was held at the ski base "ZiL". The event was organized by the Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic. It was attended by the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, representatives of international organizations, as well as skiing enthusiasts.

At the ceremony, the Department of Tourism awarded JICA with "the Ozgon Tower" statuette and Honorary Diploma for its contribution to the development of tourism in the Kyrgyz Republic.

After the reduction the number of tourists due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tourism sector in the Kyrgyz Republic is dynamically recovering.

The Kyrgyz Republic has great potential for the development of year-round tourism. We look forward to a large tourists flow this season and wish ski lovers to enjoy their winter tourism.
