Introduction of Projects

Project for Urgent Rehabilitation of Water Supply System in the Capital City of Podgorica

Background of the Project :

In the city of Podgorica, rehabilitation of water supply system has been a desire of citizens over the years. Serving approximately 92% of total population of 178,000, the facilities were also facing the serious problem, such as perpetual water shortage in some areas of the city and the water shortage during summer season. To meet these urgent needs, the Government of Japan has decided to assist the City of Podgorica by providing the appropriate equipment and technology through this project.

This Project aims to replace four pumps in "Mareza 2" pump station to recover water supply capacity as per original design. In addition to improving water flow and pressure by replacement of those pump equipment, this project is supposed to solve water failure by providing an appropriate distribution management of monitoring system.
