Activities in Nigeria

Health

Currently, JICA’s typical intervention consists of the three major areas in Nigeria: (i) maternal and child health through improving function of secondary level hospital and primary health care facilities, (ii) malaria control through community based activities, and (iii) HIV/AIDS.

Maternal and Child Health

  • Policy/Program adviser to the Lagos State Ministry of Health (JFY2005-08)
  • Asia-Africa Knowledge Creation Programme (Health Sub-programme on TQM(*)-based hospital management) (JFY2007-08)

HIV/AIDS

  • Training Course in HIV/AIDS (2005-07)
  • Provision of HIV/AIDS Equipments (2006)
