Provision of equipment in 11 districts in Ashanti Region
The handover ceremony of equipment to 11 districts was conducted in 30th October in 2020 at Adum Presby Guest House in Kumasi by Ashanti Regional Health Directorate (RHD). The Director of RHD, Dr. Emmanuel Tinkorang, Deputy Director of Public health (DDPH), Dr. Yaw Ofori Yeboah, Regional Nutritionist, Ms. Olivia Timpo and the District Health Directors in 11 districts attended. The equipment provided was MCHRB 14,500, weight scale 50, Hemoglobin analyzer 47, Cuvette 596, and Lancet 1,192. With the equipment provided it is expected to contribute to providing quality maternal child health and nutrition services utilizing MCH RB. Additionally, the office equipment such as printers, toners and papers were also provided for printing checklist and other reports for Monitoring and Supervision (M&S). M&S will be conducted to monitor the skills of health workers and give proper guidance on technical skills of the quality MCHN services such as measurement of weight and height, counseling skills, and recording skills
