On May 13, 2025, the second Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) of the “Cybersecurity Human Resource Development Project” was convened.
From the Mongolian side, participants included the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Communications (MDDIC), the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST), and the National Academy of Governance (NAoG). From the Japanese side, the JICA Mongolia Office participated in person, while JICA Headquarters joined the meeting online.

During the meeting, the Project Design Matrix (PDM) and the Plan of Operation (PO) were revised, and the project’s performance indicators were redefined. Representatives from each participating institution signed the Memorandum of Consent.
A report on activities carried out in FY2024 was also presented, followed by confirmation and discussion of the activities planned for FY2025.

At the same meeting, Ms. Fujiwara, the Project Coordinator, delivered a farewell address upon the completion of her approximately two-year term. Over the past two years, she devoted herself to advancing the project in Mongolia, making significant contributions such as strengthening collaboration with partner institutions and enhancing the implementation framework. We extend our heartfelt appreciation for her dedicated service.

Mr. Galtsog Tsogtbaatar has been appointed as the new Project Coordinator. As a Mongolian national, Mr. Tsogtbaatar is expected to further enhance communication among stakeholders and contribute to improving the project’s effectiveness. Building on the progress achieved so far, he will work closely with partner institutions to ensure the project continues to advance steadily.
