Department of Agriculture held a workshop about commercial Duckweed production

On 18 February, Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives held a workshop “Commercial Wolffia Production under Good Aquaculture Practices (GAqP), Thai Agricultural Standard (TAS 2512 – 2568)” in which two project researchers, namely Asst. Prof. Dr. Metha Meetam (Mahidol Univ, Advanced Greenfarm) and Prof. Dr. Arinthip Thamchaipenet (KasetsartUniv.), participated as special guest speakers. Dr. Metha M. gave a lecture on the historical background of Wolffia, as well as its research and business application. Dr. Arinthip T. gave an overview of Wolffia species in Thailand, collaborations with the JICA projects, and international research on Duckweed.
