Congratulations! NMIMR obtained ISO15189: 2022 Accreditation in December 2025 3rd Quality Week Cerebration February 2025

Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) cerebrated its quality week in February 2025, and the accreditation certificate of ISO15189:2022 was unveiled by the guest of honor, Hon. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, the Minister of Environment, Science and Technology, the provost of College of Health Science and the director of NMIMR during the opening ceremony. The assessment for the accreditation was conducted in September 2024 by the assessors from the Kenya Accreditation Services (KENAS). Five departments of NMIMR were accredited in December 2024.

This is one of the important milestones since the project started in 2022, and the results of the accreditation show how the staff, management teams, quality office and team committed to improving quality and safety management and put their efforts to achieve it.

This year’s Quality week marked the third year of the event, and had the theme of “Sustaining a quality culture”, and training and discussion sessions, in which the best practices were shared, quiz on quality and safety, giving NMIMR staff the opportunity to enjoy, learn and think about quality, safety and sustainability.
