Project Kick-off Meeting

On May 26, 2025, the kick-off meeting of the SATREPS Project “Valorization of Disposal Biomass for Chemical Production Based on Biorefinery Concept” was held at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.

Representatives from research institutions and related organizations in Japan and Thailand attended the meeting. The overall project framework, implementation structure, and research objectives were confirmed and shared.

Participants also discussed research plans and responsibilities for Outputs 1–5, establishing a common understanding to ensure smooth project implementation.

Over the next five years, the project will promote joint research and development between Japan and Thailand to contribute to a sustainable resource-circulating society through the high-value utilization of waste biomass.
