Meetings with Thai Government Agencies and Private Sector

On September 23–24, 2025, project members held discussions with Thai private companies and government agencies.
On September 23, the team visited Rayong Olefins of SCG Chemicals Public Company Limited. Existing processes, including naphtha cracking, and R&D activities were introduced. Research facilities and a potential pilot plant site were also inspected. Discussions covered the possible future use of bio-based feedstocks and industrial collaboration.
On September 24, meetings were held with the Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE) and the Department of Agricultural Extension (DOAE). Information was exchanged on agricultural residues from Thailand`s major crops (rice, sugarcane, oil palm), supply chains, certification systems, and measures to reduce open burning.
The findings will support the development of sustainable biomass utilization models and future social implementation of project outcomes.
