Symposium SP4: Biorefinery — Panel Discussion and Research Presentations at STT51

On November 12, 2025, the project participated in a panel discussion and also held research presentations at Symposium SP4 (Biorefinery) during The 51st International Congress on Science, Technology and Technology-based Innovation (STT51), held at Chulalongkorn University.

The symposium was organized under the theme:
“Biorefinery Innovations for Thailand’s Bioeconomy: From Agricultural Waste to Value-Added Chemicals toward Sustainable Development Goals.”
Discussions focused on the valorization of agricultural waste to promote Thailand’s bioeconomy.

In the panel discussion session, representatives from the Department of Agricultural Extension (DOAE), the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), private sector companies (SCG Chemicals Public Co., Ltd. and Patum Vegetable Oil Co., Ltd.), and researchers from Chulalongkorn University exchanged views on effective utilization of agricultural residues, policy frameworks, and opportunities for academia–industry collaboration.

In the subsequent session, project researchers delivered presentations on recent research achievements, including green catalytic transformation of agricultural residues, multi-feedstock biorefinery design, advanced catalyst development, and biofuel production processes.

The symposium provided an important platform for academia, government agencies, and industry to strengthen collaboration toward the social implementation of biorefinery technologies.
