At the beginning of the meeting, ADR Director Ana Moreno wished JICA success in the upcoming pilot projects and expressed her expectations for ADR's Project for Integrated Agricultural Development (PIDAR) scheme to improve social and efficiency, and to strengthen peacebuilding, sustainability, and organizational capacity building.

JICA Colombia Resident Representative Sato then emphasized that the major objective of the project is to contribute to the peace agreement, while confirming that the project should contribute to inclusiveness and improvement of people's quality of life at the community level.

During the meeting, the project team, consisting of JICA experts and ADR counterparts, presented the first monitoring sheet and progress report on activities to date, proposed revisions to the project activity matrix (PDM), proposed project abbreviation "DRIP de Paz," and discussed future challenges. The presentations were followed by an exchange of views on the future challenges. Furthermore, International Cooperation Specialist Komukai and Ms. Junior Specialist Kamibayashi, who participated as a detailed planning study team from the Peacebuilding Division of JICA Headquarters, emphasized the importance of supporting conflict victims to ensure their social inclusion and improve their independent livelihoods in order to promote peacebuilding in Colombia, which is the significance of the project. Afterwards, the participants confirmed and agreed on the items discussed at the meeting, and a letter of agreement was signed by Mr. Sato, Resident Representative of JICA Colombia, and Mr. Héctor Cordero, Deputy Director General of ADR.

JICA will continue to cooperate for the realization of rural reforms and peacebuilding in Colombia.
