Mr Nabea participated in the SHEP training!

From 8th to 12th March and 22nd to 26th March 2021, one of the project counterparts and the Head of Value Chain & Agribusiness component of SHEP Biz, Mr. Nabea participated in the JICA online Training on Market-oriented Agriculture Promotion (Planning and Management). In the 1st week, participants learnt the important concepts of SHEP, namely mitigating asymmetry of information and motivating farmers from Japanese case study. In the 2nd week, participants identified the challenges in agriculture through interviews from farmers and market stakeholders which was done during interval break. Based on the identified challenge, participants developed the action plan which align with the SHEP 4 steps (share goal, awareness raising, make decision and acquire skill). Mr Nabea developed the action plan for capacity development training for MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs) to understand their business situation and capacitate them to develop business plan for obtaining the financial resources.

After the training, Mr. Nabea presented his action plan to the project team and also consultant team in Japan and concretize the plan. The project team will discuss further to implement the action plan developed in the Agribusiness component!
