Project for Science and Technology Research Partnership for Biomass Energy Utilizing Livestock Waste
Background of the Project:
Serbia is well-known as agricultural country in Europe, especially for the livestock industry. On the other hand, the contamination of ground water and International River are partly caused by the livestock waste. This is one of the issues for the environmental matter to join the EU.
The Institute for animal husbandry of Serbia is a research institute under the Ministry of Science and Technology. The institute has a role not only for research but also to extend their newly developed technique to farmers.
This project aims to the utilization of methane gas from livestock waste for generating energy, as well as to reduce the minus impact to environment. Japan cooperates with its various experiences on the bio-resource energy.
