40th years anniversary JICA Volunteer Program in Thailand - Sharing for the best and Growing Together -

On December 1st, 2021 there was an event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of JICA volunteer program in Thailand and the hand-over of new group of volunteers (2021-1 and 2021-7).

At the ceremony, Director General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh and Deputy Chief of Mission and Minister of Embassy of Japan in Thailand, Mr. Yuichi OBA, delivered congratulatory speeches on an occasion of the 40th anniversary of JOCV in Thailand, and a VDOs message marking the 40th anniversary was also presented.

In addition, after the 40th anniversary ceremony, there was a hand-over ceremony of seven (7) new volunteers who are volunteers in the fields of Computer Technology, Welfare and Education for Persons with Disabilities and Japanese Language Education that were handed over to their recipient agencies on the day.

Regarding all of this, we would like to express our gratitude to the Thai Government, related agencies in Thailand, recipient agencies of the volunteers in Thailand, and related person in Japan who always support our JICA volunteer program in Thailand.

On behalf of JICA Thailand Office, we have set the slogan as "Sharing for the best and growing together" to mark the 40th anniversary of the program and we do hope for a continuing fabulous relationship and connections with many related agencies in Thailand.
