JICA and Public Debt Management Office of Thailand co-hosted the Collaborative Training Program on Public Debt Management to debt management officials from Zambia, Ethiopia, and Ghana from January 30th to February 3rd.

The training was delivered with a mixture of lectures and on-site experiences to learn and observe the organizations, such as PDMO, Bank of Thailand, and Bond Market Association.

In this occasion, it is the first time JICA has ever conducted a collaborative training program with Thailand PDMO by providing a tailor-made training program to debt management officials from African countries based on the needs of participants, as well as debt structure and financial portfolio of each country through a comprehensive and well-structured techniques of Thai PDMO.

All public debt management officials from various countries got to exchange their know-how and experiences on the public debt management activities and framework of their own countries, while discussing how to implement these practical methods to the debt management activities in their countries.
