JICA engages in dialogue with members of non-governmental (NGOs) and non-profit organizations (NPOs) while supporting their activities. We are eager to be of service in developing your overseas cooperation activities and furthering your partnership with JICA.
JICA Tokyo works with citizens' groups in its area of jurisdiction (Niigata, Gunma, Saitama, and Chiba prefectures as well as Tokyo) who are either carrying out or looking to carry out international cooperation activities. The goal is to provide opportunities for future international cooperation by offering support in the form of caps on airfare and overseas travel insurance premiums within the maximum amount. JICA Tokyo assists NGOs and NPOs in offering future international cooperation through joint training and individual consultations prior to dispatch as well as joint presentation meetings and individual consultations after they return. JICA Tokyo therefore supports suggestions for international cooperation.
With project management training, NGOs/NPOs learn effective methods for designing, formulating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating development projects. JICA Tokyo introduces seminar content, implementation schedules, and other information.
In order to expertly cope with specific issues in certain regions and sectors which NGOs and others are facing, JICA Tokyo offers training for these organizations. In addition, JICA Tokyo offers training programs by receiving ideas and cooperating operations with regional network NGOs which have experience with successful training for NGOs and others, or in building networks.
The outline of this program and procedure for implementation are explained the link below.
