Nowadays, private companies and private-sector financing are becoming an increasingly critical part of economic growth, sustainable social development, and poverty reduction in developing countries. Japan is also struggling to cope with global issues related to the environment, climate change, food security, and natural resources, and it is fair to say that the private sector has a decisive and vital part to play in resolving them.
JICA has offices in fourteen domestic and about one hundred foreign locations, and is currently rolling out ODA projects in more than 150 countries and regions across the globe. We are eager to support companies that are looking forward to expanding their operations into developing countries by making use of our on-site information and vast networks we have collected through the ODA activities.
